Our Mission

The Coalition to Save Easton has been established to fight a proposed high-density housing development in town that threatens the watershed, the environment and our town.

We named our group "Coalition to Save Easton" because this truly is an effort to save the town from a wave of high-density development in the future, should this application prevail, which would devastate the watershed.

Threat from Saddle Ridge Development

Saddle Ridge Developers LLC is a developer with a new plan to build a 99 unit high-intensity development in Easton near the intersection of Sport Hill Road (Rt. 59) and Westport Road (Rt. 136).

CSE is strongly opposed to this inappropriate proposal. We believe it will:

Saddle Ridge Developers Sue Easton

Saddle Ridge Developers have sued the Easton Conservation Commission. They want a judge to force the Easton Conservation Commission to give them a wetlands permit to build their high-density development in the watershed. We also expect that Saddle Ridge Developers will sue the Easton Planning and Zoning Commission in the next couple weeks.

Matching Pledge

To help fund the upcoming court battles over the Saddle Ridge Development, a generous supporter has offered to match, dollar for dollar, donations to CSE up to $2500. Help CSE now and your contribution goes even farther. If 100 members give $25 each, we'll be able to collect the entire matching pledge.
